PROJECT BRIEF & CONCEPT
ECO-RESIDENCE ALIMOS III is a twin-volume residential complex in Alimos, Attica, comisioned by Apodiakos Ecotech, conceived around a single organizing principle: structural economy redirected into façade quality. Two compact apartment buildings — 5–6 floors, two units per floor — share a landscaped private garden on a corner plot, their repeated typical floors keeping construction straightforward and cost-controlled. All architectural investment lands on the elevations: a disciplined composition of projecting horizontal balcony slabs, warm timber-finish aluminium louvres, and frameless glass railings creates a layered, shaded façade that doubles as the project's passive energy strategy, targeting A+ KENAK compliance through solar control rather than added mechanical systems. Softened corners distinguish the massing from the standard Athens apartment block, mature olive trees anchor the shared garden, and the upper floors are positioned to capture unobstructed views of the Acropolis and Lycabettus — a deliberate siting decision that is as much commercial logic as it is architectural ambition.
